OUR EMBLEM

The emblem of the Sri Lanka Magic Circle featuring seven-headed cobra, is rich in cultural and historical significance. The seven-headed cobra, a mythological creature depicted in ancient rock carvings, symbolizes both protection and progress, reflecting the values of safeguarding the community and fostering advancement among its members. The number seven revered by sages, adds an element of auspiciousness to the emblem which also represents the group of seven pioneers who formed the ‘Association of Ceylon Magicians’ in 1922. The circular design of the emblem represents the concept of eternity, signifying a club with no beginning or end, which aligns with the enduring nature of magic and the continuous journey of its practitioners. The outer circle adorned with the traditional design of lotus flower petals embodies the Sri Lankan identity connecting the organization to its cultural roots. Overall, the emblem serves as a powerful representation of the Sri Lanka Magic Circle’s mission to protect and promote the art of magic, while honoring its cultural heritage and the values of its community.
